Greetings from San Diego! I just got back from a mini trip to San Francisco and Portland, OR and I am really excited about today’s topic which is MONEY and VALUE! WOOHOOO!

Whenever I meet someone who is new to business, particularly someone who has not had any kind of formal sales training whatsoever, I always hear, “My people don’t have the money to hire me! I need rich clients!”

And the thing is, it’s ALMOST NEVER true!!!

What IS true, is that most people are bad at sales, because they have never been trained in how to do it, and they don’t actually know how to handle objections, which is what someone telling you they don’t have the money is— it’s a money objection.

Let me give you an example to make this more clear….

While I was up in Portland, I met up with a friend I have known for more than 30 years! (OH GOD I AM AGING MYSELF!)

She has a budding coaching company where she works with people with depression and anxiety, and she has a speciality in working with people and families of those diagnosed with bi-polar disorder (if you want a referral to her, just email me!).

As we sat down to lunch together she shared with me that she finally hired a business coach!!! YAYYYY! I was super excited about this of course, because I have watched her try to do it alone for about a year now.

Where this story gets interesting, is that she told me she initially was going to hire a coach who was VERY affordable (read: cheap and a HUGE red flag!!! Don’t ever learn how to make money from a broke person!!!), but after their first consultation, she was SURE it was NOT a fit for her.

A friend of hers recommended another coach who was DOUBLE the price, and Amanda hired her on the spot!

Why am I telling you this?

Because it’s never about the money.

It’s always about VALUE!!!

The first coach she talked to, though she was cheap from a $$$ perspective, left Amanda feeling nervous and like she wasn’t going to get what she needed.

On the other hand, the second coach made sense to her, her strategies sounded solid (she said this new coach reminded her of me and it was a plus for her, yay!!), and the value was obvious.

Amanda KNEW that she needed a coach. And yet, she does not have the money for one!!!

When I asked her how she was going to pay for it, she said she was taking a few more nannying hours, and putting the rest on credit. She problem solved the money piece by transferring all of her credit debt onto a credit card with zero interest for one year.

Now THAT is a committed person! There were so many a-ha’s from my lunch with my friend that I’ll be sharing more next week, so stay tuned! I think it will help you a ton with your mindset and what you’re trying to do 🙂

P.S. Are you terrible at sales and you know it? When someone says they need to “think about it” do you let them walk away, never to be heard from again? Do you constantly hear people saying they “don’t have the money” to work with you?

If so, I have a solution for you and it’s my Coaches and Healers Guide to Sales which is typically only available to my mastermind and private clients. We’re about to revamp it as a digital product that I’ll be selling for $1997. If you want it now for the steal of a deal price of $997, just let me know by hitting reply and I’ll set you up with it! If you think sales is your biggest challenge right now, you’d be silly not to buy it.

I have clients who used this to make $10,000 in THEIR FIRST MONTH using my system. The return on investment is an absolute no-brainer, so just let me know 🙂
