I was thinking about you the other night while I was talking with a girlfriend of mine about her business and how it was going. She started doing this thing where she was saying things like, “I’m not even sure if I really want to be doing this. I don’t even know what my niche is (even though she had JUST told me exactly what she wants to help women with!), I am going to look for a business partner,” and a whole bunch of other BS.
But you know me, not one to let anyone get away with anything, I called her out on it!
I asked her, “If you were making 10k a month in your business, do you think you’d like it?”
Of course she said yes. But then she said, “But I have been working on this business for so long, and nothing’s really happening!”
And at this point I got really fiery and I said, “THAT’S BECAUSE YOU DON’T HAVE A STRATEGY!”
(Yes, I totally yelled it in all caps like that.)
I can’t tell you how many times I have heard the Exact. Same. Story.
“I don’t know if anyone wants what I’m selling.”
“I don’t know if I like my niche.”
“I think I want to change up my business model.”
Lordy, lordy, STOP IT!
