There’s something I keep seeing everywhere and I wanted to share it with you. Because I honestly think it’s a little misleading and might actually keep you from having what you want in your life and business, so here it is…..
I’m honestly a little turned off by the whole, “If it’s not a hell yes, it’s a no” thing.
You know what I’m talking about, right?
The pretty photos on Instagram with that saying, the Facebook statuses, etc…
Here’s the problem with that way of thinking…….
It keeps you in your comfort zone.
And I think you know by now what happens in your comfort zone….. not a whole lot of anything new and exciting.
If I’m completely transparent with you, much of my success rides on decisions that were not even close to a HELL YESSSSSS!
Let me explain….
When I first made the decision to hire a business coach, I was NOOOOOOT even a little bit of a hell yes. I felt sick to my stomach, agonized over the decision to the point of waking up feeling nauseous for days, and had one of the biggest panic attacks of my life. NOT A HELL YES.
But I did it anyway.
Now you’d think I learned after that point, having an amazing year and actually starting to grow a real business!! But I didn’t.
When my year was complete I hired a new coach, and found myself in the same panic attack and agony all over again. NOT A HELL YES.
Now let’s talk about this on a personal level. Ha yes, it’s back to my love life again.
I’m almost never a hell yes to a first date with a guy I have never met. You know, it’s 2016 so I do the apps and things, but to go meet a random stranger who I have only seen thumbnail photos of and all I know is they like pizza and travel (for real), it’s hard to be a HELL YES.
Are you getting what I’m saying here?
So here’s the way I see it….
You need to be a hell yes to the RESULT, but not necessarily the process.
For example, I was a HELL YES to the RESULT (a multi 6 figure biz and working from anywhere, any time!) of getting a business coach, so of course I am thrilled that I hired the coaches I’ve worked with, because they helped me create the life and business I have today.
And I’m also a HELL YES to the RESULT of working with a love coach. Now I haven’t met my man, YET, but I have learned sooooo much about myself, men, and relationships, and my dating landscape is looking wayyyyy different than it did before I started working with Nicole. Since I started working with her, I have started to uncover and dismantle the negative beliefs and patterns that have kept me from having this thing I truly want. I’ve let go of dating unavailable men, and I’m learning more and more about how to show up as the woman I want to be, to attract the type of high level man I desire.
So…………
If you appreciate my perspective here, I would love to have you consider that it doesn’t have to be a hell yes to do that scary thing in your business. Whether it’s hiring someone, putting on your first webinar or live event, or putting a Facebook status up announcing that you’ve launched— it may not feel like a hell yes, but I would say rather than put all that pressure of the hell yes on you, ask this….
Am I a HELL YES to the RESULT this may bring? If so, then it’s a yes. Even if it’s a squirmy yes that makes you want to vomit a little 😉
